“Cosmetic Surgery” written by: Neowynth Lopez and Aira Mendez

Cosmetic surgery is a kind of surgical procedure by which they enhance your facial structures or physical appearance. It can be done in your face or in your neck or in your different parts of the body. Examples of these are Facelift, by which they would lift your skin upwards to create a more youthful appearance. Another example is Rhinoplasty or Nose job by which they would lift your nose or even remove some bones or fats and muscles in your nose to create a pointy looking nose. Main purpose of Cosmetic surgery is to enhance the individuals’ appearance and will help you align to enhance your natural looks. Cosmetic surgery has a lot of pros, but it also has a good amount of cons. Cosmetic surgery can be very addicting. An article posted by HUFFPOST.com, 4 Good Reasons To Never Get Cosmetic surgery written by Yagana Shah, it claims that Cindy Jackson, broke a world record for having the most cosmetic procedures. Cindy Jackson said “I didn’t set out to break, to set a world record, it was never my ambition, it’s just that I had so much done.” People think Plastic Surgeries could just be a one time thing, but in all reality, people have to come back for more sessions or fillers to keep up on how they want to look like. The money they have been spending could go out to other proceeds such as charity. It’s sad how society has this vision of what the perfect person could look like and a lot of people have been turning into plastic surgery to become that vision. A simple thing could have gone wrong during the procedure and you will not be happy with the results. It’s a risk a lot of people will not take by looking like someone who you don't want to look like for a few months until it wears off and gets new fillers.

The American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) shows that there were nearly a quarter million of more Cosmetics procedures performed in 2018 than the previous year. Statistics report of (ASPS) there were more than 17.7 Million Cosmetic surgical procedures performed in 2018. Most of the statistics report, people who undergoes in Cosmetic surgery are young women from the age of 18-37 years old.

Cosmetic surgery are for those who have a desire to have a more youthful look and it can also give the people the confidence they need in order for them to feel more of themselves where they can show themselves to everyone without being ashamed or afraid from their insecurities. It can also enhance your physical appearance and be more confident with themselves and other people. Size acceptance, body positivity, and fat activism are now part of the cultural lexicon according to data from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons(ASPS). “Most patients seek [cosmetic] procedures to feel like the best version of themselves,” said Dr. Lara Devgan, MPH, FACS, chief medical officer at Real self, a site where people learn about cosmetic treatments, share experiences, and connect with providers. “There’s a magical paradox I’m helping people achieve: looking the same but better.”

With Plastic Surgery there comes complications and risks. With the people of thinking about getting plastic surgery or is getting plastic surgery, you should be aware of the risks before undergoing their surgical procedures. You should always read the contracts before signing it at the doctor's office so you will know what you're getting yourself into. One of the biggest complications of getting plastic surgery is Hematoma. Hematoma is a pocket of blood that resembles a large painful bruise. It usually happens more to males than females. The procedures that this usually occurs is after a breast augmentation procedures or a face lift. A deadly risk of getting plastic surgery is blood loss. Blood loss is expected during surgery but uncontrolled blood loss can lead to a drop in blood pressure and could lead to deadly outcomes. A big risks of getting plastic surgery is infection. If there is no proper care following the procedure, it will most likely catch an infection. Another reason of getting an infection is going to an untrusted plastic surgeon. Some unqualified nurses or doctors will not have clean facilities or clean and sterilized tools used for the procedures.

Plastic Surgery isn’t all that bad, people who do get plastic surgery just has to know their limitations. We aren't telling you how to spend your money or to not get plastic surgery. It is still your choice and your body we have no right to tell you to stop. As a little advice, limitation is very important. It is a proven fact that plastic surgery is very addicting and some people had lost a great amount of money due to it. Jocelyn Wildenstein invested 4 million dollars on plastic surgery and Michael Jackson has spent a fortune on plastic surgery. Yes, they are rich, but if you can barely afford your apartment’s rent, spending a lot of money on plastic surgery isn't a good idea for you and should limit yourself on how much procedures to take because getting plastic surgery is very expensive even if it is just one procedure.

Next year, things aren't gonna be the same as it were. No more explorations, no more fun with classmates, no more memories to keep. Gettin' old really sucks isn't it? knowing that some things in our life would just eventually take off. I guess it'll just be a departing part of my journey. But, that's how life works. A cycle of having and not having. Probably, enjoying it would be my utmost solution. Right? So let me tell you what happened in the last 26th of September. It's early in the morning when I started to wake up— the skies was still filled with darkness and the breeze of the air was cold. Nothing really gets to my mind that time except sleeping. Really. I'm still sleepy as heck but the clock is ticking. Our fieldtrip is near its cal...
