Cosmetics Surgery: Boon or Bane? by Meg Sky Beyonce Tan and Andrea Nicole B. Tributo

"True beauty is what's inside and not on the outside", but not everyone is satisfied with just that. People tend to judge others on appearances, making others insecure and unsure of themselves. Everyone wants to show the best side of themselves, but when people point out their imperfections, they cower so they may not be judged by others. We begin forming a mentality in our minds that it is a necessity to reach this standard. It is a mentality that does not only affect adults but engraved into the minds of children as well. Children often grow up seeing these beautiful men and women, and one day wish to achieve this beauty. As they age, they realize that maybe it is impossible for them, until they are introduced to the world of cosmetic surgery. A way to change all their imperfections.
Cosmetics surgery is a type of plastic surgery that aims to enhance the appearance of oneself through surgical and medical procedures and improve one’s physical appeal. It consists of procedures such as facial rejuvenation and contouring, breast enhancement, body contouring, and skin rejuvenation. It can boost an individual’s confidence because they see themselves as to how they want to look like. Through this method, one can finally achieve the look and body they've always dreamed of. Nowadays, it is high in demand, mainly because of the ever-growing influence of social media and the relentless discrimination spread by ruthless people all around the globe. Sometimes, it is purely because of the insecurity they bury so deep within their hearts. That is why people tend to do whatever it takes just to improve their appearance and get accepted by society even though they're completely oblivious of its effects and disadvantages. They dispose of the thought whether its safe or healthy for the body. Although this can give you genuine happiness, sooner or later you'll discover that it can still harm you in so many ways. Research shows that it can be as addictive as marijuana. An obsession with perfection. This happens when no number of medical procedures can satiate the person's thirst to achieve his ideal type of perfection. What they don't know is that a handful of operations can cause pain to a great extent and permanent scars. This can also lead to infections, complications, and organ failures in the future. As they say, "Everything comes with a price", figuratively and realistically speaking. Operations cost about 200,000 to 750,000 pesos each. And sometimes, people are not satisfied with the results and get depressed about it. Henceforth, you must certainly know what you're putting yourself into first then decide wholeheartedly rather than suffer and regret it later.

Whether you're ugly or pretty doesn't really matter. We should always remember that God's love will never waver. No matter how we look, whatever race we may be or what gender we are. We shouldn't neglect but rather embrace the wonderful gifts given to us. That is why instead of investing our time in envy and negativity, we should spread positivity, give thanks to God, and choose to do what's right and best. Love and accept ourselves because we possess our own kind of beauty. According to the bible verse 1 Peter 3:3-4, " Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight."

You Are Beautiful

"You are beautiful." H ave you ever felt insecure about the way you look? Have you ever felt the need to change a part of your body? These are some of the reasons why people want to get cosmetic surgery. But what is cosmetic surgery? Cosmetic Surgery is a kind of surgery that involves transforming, reordering or refining a part of your body to improve one's appearance. It was believed that Cosmetic Surgery began to develop after World War 1 due to war injuries. Cosmetic surgery was mostly performed to fix a broken nose or patch up burned skins. But as time goes by, people started to think of this as a way to change their appearances. People started wanting to get cosmetic surgery. We have created a poll on Twitter, asking people their thoughts about cosmetic surgery. In less than 24 hours, we got the results. The majority vote was the affirmation side where 93% said they agree on cosmetic surgery.   Their answers all have the same point: is that they agree b...

Last blog for last fieldtrip

Unfailin' , Fulfillin'   Fieldtripin' . Hi!~ thank you for stopping by-- We cool? then let's get it drivin`! Apparently, this fieldtrip could be my last pursuit of wonder in high school. Next year, things aren't gonna be the same as it were. No more explorations, no more fun with classmates, no more memories to keep. Gettin' old really sucks isn't it? knowing that some things in our life would just eventually take off. I guess it'll just be a departing part of my journey. But, that's how life works. A cycle of having and not having. Probably, enjoying it would be my utmost solution. Right? So let me tell you what happened in the last 26th of September. It's early in the morning when I started to wake up— the skies was still filled with darkness and the breeze of the air was cold. Nothing really gets to my mind that time except sleeping. Really. I'm still sleepy as heck but the clock is ticking. Our fieldtrip is near its cal...
