Cosmetic Surgery has rapidly evolved throughout time. You can get any part of your body fixed or modified if you want to. Cosmetic procedures alter a part of the body that the person is not satisfied with. Common cosmetic procedures include making the breasts larger (augmentation mammoplasty) or smaller (reduction mammoplasty), reshaping the nose (rhinoplasty), and removing pockets of fat from specific spots on the body (liposuction). But not all are surgical like lip injections and brazilian butt lift.
It is always viewed or portrayed as a negative thing in our society and it shouldn't be. Today's beauty standards are set so high that it's almost impossible to reach. The world will constantly point out and criticize your imperfections but will get mad at you if you decided to modify it. Cosmetic surgery is often linked to self confidence and is one of the main reasons why people undergo these procedures. Studies show that those who had their features fixed turned out to be more contented with their appearance than those who refused. We all have different ways to gain confidence, some step out of their comfort zone, some surround themselves with people that supports and uplifts them and some resort to Cosmetic Surgery. There’s no right or wrong method in gaining self confidence.
Cosmetic Surgery is okay but to an extent. There are some celebrities who have gone under the knife and are proud of it like Courteney Cox, Cardi B, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Jamie Lee Curtis. If you're doing it because you want to correct a physical defect or you just want to feel more comfortable in your own skin then it's okay, but if you're doing it to please other people and to look beautiful in their eyes then that's the wrong reason to get plastic surgery. We need to learn to not get affected by other people’s harsh opinions. Yes, it’s hard but we will never be satisfied with ourselves if we’ll see our worth through someone else’s eyes. It is never a crime to look a bit prettier than you were before. You should feel comfortable in your body and you can do or fix anything that bothers you.
Natural beauty is unfair. I get really uncomfortable when women who are these natural beauties judge anybody who does anything to themselves.
